February Haul!

Had been staying at home for the past few days except for going out to grab my cosmetics and then coming back home to sleep. -coughcough- How I wish I'll recover asap. :( I still wanna go for my BFF's 21st Birthday celebration ( ̄へ ̄)

The new Dollywink Otona Series was launched yesterday @ Wastons stores! I couldn't wait and flew down to get the lashes. (In case they ran out of stocks again (,,#゚Д゚)

I bought the Dollywink #13 & #14 which are the underlash. I really liked the #14 cause it looked really natural and sweet! :3 #13 is more for Oshare type :) I haven't tried them on, but if I do I will post the pictures again! ^_^

My main motive in the first place was to go down to get the eyebrow powder in Honey Brown. (I have very bright hair colour) I read the review and they said this powder doesn't come with the smell that Kate eyebrow powder have. I haven't tried it out yet. ( I can't bear to pull it out from its pretty package too!)

I know this is from the old series. But I read from the other blogger that this colour palette had been removed from Dollywink's page. I hesitated for a while before going down to grab this palette from Watsons. ( ´∀`)

I promised to upload the photos if I try them on! :D

Senso Delizioso

The lunch yesterday afternoon was AWESOME! We went to Senso Restaurant located at 21 Club Street. (As usual baby chose this place)
We were looking forward to some ala carte food and realised that they only had their Prosecco Brunch on Sunday. It cost as much as S$98/person (exclusive of tax & service charge), but totally worth it for the AWESOME food! (Thank you Uncle again for the weekly treat!)

Rose Prosecco, it was free-flow that came together with the Brunch set. Totally love it, wasn't too heavy for a lunch. (Yeah, and I'm drinking again after Matt's birthday on Friday, getting myself sicker than I should be.)

Leek & Potato with Crispy Parma Ham. The soup is really light and tasty and the proportion was just nice to start off the brunch buffet. I would definitely go for a second round of this!

My first dish from the Buffet table. The seafood salad came with Feta Cheese & Cucumber, and also the squid was really fresh! Unlike the ones they had in the other restaurant, this one was really juicy and crunchy.  The Vegetarian Pasta wasn't as tasty, so I'm glad I only took very little of it. Ham was juicy and fresh, the ones from supermarket are just way out to compare with it. And lastly, my favourite Olive bread! The first thought of biting into it was 'Nah, this isn't good'. But the more I ate the more addictive it became.^^

And then our pasta came! We tried all 4 on the menu (I only manage to take 3 cause the last one arrive when I started eating). Apparently, you can try everything on the Buffet Menu and then ask for as many rounds as you like. We all agreed that the Seafood Linguine was the best as it was the lightest among them all. (The rest were in tomato sauce) I didn't try on the Beef Ragout Fusili as I don't eat beef.

My share of the wonderful pasta. Bf love it too, but too bad it contains all the toxic food such as prawns & scallop that he couldn't eat. (Poor him have some allergic reaction to it.)

This however, was a little dry. Not to my liking though.

The Berry Tart that I went running after. Not that I really like the tart shell, but I really love the BERRIES! Any kind will do. :D

And this is my little boy's favourite! Creme Brulee, however he didn't liked the one prepared by them. I kinda like the Panna Cotta with Mango Sauce. Light and fluffy and not too sweet. *Yummy!*

This plate looks great, but Nah. They taste normal, a little disappointed with it. What I can say was their Pasta & the Mains were great, but the desserts are just so-so. So if you ever have the chance to go there, just eat as much of the savour food as you can. Just have like 5% of what you eat for the desserts.

That's all for now! Toodles from my little fluffys at Dear's house!

An Apple Crumble Day

I decided to bake these goodies last week! I got the recipe from the Cookery Book 'Cooks On The Hills' that Dear's Mum got from me. ^_^ I wanted to try the recipe out for a while but I was really busy with school and work. So I told myself I gonna give myself a break during the study break last week to bake it. ( I did study for my exams btw.)

Uncle went to the Supermart that afternoon to get the Apples (Red & Green) ones for me. :D He said they were on sale so he went down to get them while I went off to IMM to get the baking dishes. (I realised that I don't have any decent baking dishes/mould/ apple-crumble-like-container for the recipe) The ones in the pictures were apparently bought from Daiso. :) Aww, how I love Daiso! I've got like 5 cute dishes for only SGD $10.

Other than that, I also bought these from Daiso. I took like 15 minutes to decide if I really want the 2 bowls. ( I have many smaller bowls at home already) However, I felt that since I liked it so much and it would be good for holding flour and sugar I might as well just take them. Oh, and the place mat, it's supposed to work like a baking mat. I just used to for easier clean up later on. ( I drop things a lot, like sugar, flour, butter etc etc.)

While the little hotties are in the Oven. Heee..

And this was super cute! I saw them in the Supermart in IMM. Its a set of frying pan & fried egg like frying spatula. I like I like, thinking if I should get it since the one at home was long spoiled. Hmmmm, thats all for now. I haven got to go out since I'm still feeling giddy here & then. =/ Toodles~

A little sick

Hello there. ;) I'm blogging on my way to my Japanese class. Was having high fever yesterday. I was suddenly having high fever in the middle of the night. Luckily my friends told me to place ice bags all over and it went off in the morning. o(^▽^)o

And what was worst is that my lil bro got sent into hospital in the same morning for food poisoning. Σ(゚д゚lll)大変ね!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone out there!

Aloha people! Its Valentine's today and I'm pretty excited. One reason being that it's my first (YES, FIRST!) Valentine's Day celebrating with someone I love :D (YAY!~) I know I sound damn Sua Ku, what can I do when no one wants me for the past 20 years of my life, or rather should I say that my relationship doesn't last till Valentine's.  (That's how sad I am)

I baked cookies yesterday for my lovely boy and made a last minute card this morning for him. Wanted to give him the combined card for our monthsary (since it's one day after Valentine) but I see everyone giving a card and also I gave him separated cards for Christmas. And ta-da! This is what I could have do in 30 minutes, quite satisfying I guess. :3

I haven't received my Valentine's Day gift as its only available tomorrow for collection. Can't wait!

Happy Cookies Day to all the girls baking cookies for tomorrow :D I'm also working on a new recipe that I found online for my bf tomorrow! Hope it turns out well.

And also another variation of the cookies. (I found this in a book and it seems like the chocolate one turns out better. -Kudos- to Japanese cookie recipe!)

And this was how the first batch of cookies turned out. The one with the heart shaped window is supposerd to go with another piece without the window and then stuck together with Nutella. I didn't managed to take a picture of the complete set, as by the time I finished baking I was already dead tired.

And ta-da! The last batch of chocolate cookies going into the oven! :3 Meow, it tasted nice that I finished the ones from the first batch. =x Oh la la~

A peek into my lash case

Korilakkuma Pill Case with Lashes and glue in it

Aloha people! :D I am so happy today, cause I did my presentation in the afternoon for evaluation and it turned out well! -Cheers!- Anyway, I didn't have much to share today so I thought I'll just show you guys my wonderful little lash case. :3 I keep this in my Makeup pouch all the time, you know just in case you suay suay (unlucky) drop one side of the lashes or one day I happen to go out without my lashes and I need to meet someone important and I don't have my lashes with me kind of situation.

I recycled a old pill box which was broken when I dropped it the first time. (Yeah, the first time ok! And it broke and couldn't close properly. I have to keep it close with the help of blutack -.-) I placed in a cheap pair of Daiso lashes (that I forgot the lash model no.), some lower lashes (I'm a vain pot, but they said that long top lashes have to compliment with long bottom lashes so I'm keeping one in JUST IN CASE. :D) I also have lash glue from Spring Heart inside. I prefer 'Lash Grip' but they don't sell it in mini tube like this, so I just grab a mini one that could fit in the box. :3 And lastly the lash fibre (double eyelid tape alternative).

I don't really use the lash fibre thing cause I have double eyelid. I don't see the need to create a higher crease either. But I'm just leaving it there just in case my double eyelid crease intends to betray me one day and go missing.

And yes yes, I have something else to show you guys before I sign off. =X My Rilakkuma stash for Jan-Feb. Not a lot but yeah. All paid by Mr Bf. Thank you very much. -Bow-

Baking Trays

I bought a new Baking Tray (Cookie Tray) & the Heart Shape tin that I bought a while back!

Today was the official last day of my school term (which exclude the coming up tests), which means that if I don't go to Uni, it will be the last official lesson of my life in a government school. Unless I retained for another semester that's another story.

Anyway, I was wearing formal outfit to school for my Final Year Project Evaluation. I bought a new jacket and wore the new OL dress for it. And guess what? It was cancelled due to one of my evaluator calling in sick. I have no choice but to tell myself that at least I've now got another day to prepare myself for the actual thing. I hope the evaluator get well soon.

I was on my way home from the train station and I decided to drop by the Phoon Huat near my house to get the unsalted butter for the Earl Grey cookies. ( I'm still failing them and I have no idea why. The chocolate pound cake that I tried on the first try turned out delicious instead. -.-) And then I was walking past 'Lemon Zest' (previously know as 'Kitchen Magic') and decided to walk in and check out what's on discount.

Most of the time they would be having items with colourful stickers on them making out the discount that they are at. So I saw this cookie tray (which I wanted for a while but couldn't afford to get it) at a discount of 70%! I mean 70%! Can you imagine? It was from $18.20 to $5.50. Totally worth it! It's even cheaper than the normal aluminium one lah! Duh, I totally feel like stocking up on one more now. D:

A Little Date.

We met up with Takeshi outside Dear's house and took his taxi all the way out to the Japanese Restaurant. I think Dear is already hooked on his Yakiudon while I'm always asking for my Curry Udon. (Although this is the third time that we're there only.) Tak had Ungai Udon. It's been like a month plus since we last seen him. His hair was growing out of control. :P

I think this would enter my 'Favourite Food List' soon :3 You can choose it with Udon or Soba.

Remember this ice-cream snack that we used to eat when we were young? I love the Chocolate version one but they only have the Grape and Strawberry & Pineapple flavour D: The price was still as friendly as it was when we were still young.

Meh. I didn't get to focus on the cone instead cause Tak couldn't wait to eat his. :D The taste was really the same, it tasted like the same toothpaste sweet but still as fun as ever making 'ice-cream' on our own. I didn't get to make one cause the tube of cream was super hard and it didn't come out after several attempts. In the end my 'ice-cream' was made by the guys.

Korilakkuma Pink Border Plate

The super cute mug! :3

We headed down to Plaza Sing for the movie 'Awakening'. Meanwhile we were there, we (intentionally) dropped by Seimon-Cho for the Rilakkuma Lucky Draw. As usual, I wasn't that lucky and didn't get the big prize. I got the smaller ones like the Plate & Mug Set and the Blanket. Although they weren't some big prizes, but they were something I know I could have a use for. (Am using the blanket at night to keep the flu bug out.)

Dear couldn't resist the temptation and went for another 2 rounds. (Which all the rounds were paid by him) He was pretty lucky and got the bedroom slippers (which I heard from the shopkeeper that they were HOT items) and another set of blanket. (Which is great, cause now I have the 2 designs! 8D)

Was shopping around Orchard Central and Dear saw his favourite tart shop while I was looking for stickers. The collection was very little as compared to months ago. There goes my stickers collection. :(
Although we didn't go much places, but I still love hanging out with my favourite boy! :D Love you, Baby! :3

A Unfair World

I was really upset today. I guess upset wasn't enough to describe it. More of depressed I guess... I got reprimanded by my teachers because of working to pay of my school fees and bills. She said that I should place myself as a student first instead of an employee because I told her that I need to arrange a working schedule with my boss. I feel do depressed now Do you know that not everyone are fortunate enough to pay their own school fees and bills? I feel tough working and studying at the same time too. Not only that I feel so and depressed about myself. I feel so useless.

I always thought being happy with what you have would be enough. I always try to tell myself that I am already very fortunate to have most of the things that I wanted. But sometimes its just so depressing when you see people who get the chance to go to school (cause' their family could afford it) not wanting to go to school, and those people who can't afford to (like me) are able to go to school even we want to.

I try not to pity myself, I tell myself at least I'm independent. But no matter how strong I am, people just pops out randomly to remind me how sad I am. When I was young, life seems perfect. My parents owned 2 stalls selling fruits. We lived in a 5 room flat with our own corridor and everything was air conditioned. It was the perfect life that everyone wanted. I didn't know what happened exactly but all I know was suddenly we had to sell the flat and move to somewhere near my grandma. Dad's business went down and soon after he got into the hospital with stroke.

Things got worst, he was in & out of ICU certain times while I was having 'O' levels. My days were visiting the hospital then back home, then school and repeat the circle. Obviously I was in no mood to take the examinations and failed badly. Things in school wasn't great as well, people avoided me, talked things bad about me behind my back (that's explain I wasn't close to them). Dad had to move in to a hospice later on, as the hospital staffs felt that there's no longer a need for him to stay there. And of cause, we owed the hospital a huge amount of money.

After staying the hospice for around 1+ year, dad passed away one morning. I do not know what happened exactly. I was a little relived cause I know my dad doesn't have to suffer anymore + mum wouldn't have to carry such a burden for the medical fee anymore. I remembered my friends telling me that they would come for my dad's wake, I waited, but no one came.

I went on to poly with the savings that grandpa left me. It made me through the 3 years of poly with the grants from school and also money from Aunt paying for all the laptops and other stuffs for school. My uncles whom had promised me that they'll be paying for Uni wasn't doing well either. One uncle had been down with Heart Disease and couldn't work for 2 years, for that period of he depended on his savings which was meant for my uni education. Then came my another uncle whom sprained his back and hurt his spine during work. He couldn't walk or move for 2 months and all he had was to depend on his savings too.

He gave me pocket money everyweek but although its not much, its still a lot for him. I saw him with his bag spoiled but didn't replaced one cause he had to give me the pocket money. I told myself I shouldn't be a burden on him and try to work a little to pay off for the bills. It made me super upset this morning when my teacher spoke to me as she had reminded me how pathetic I was. She said I should placed myself as a student first and employee second, but did she know what happened at home? I am a student, but I am also working out to find the best way to lighten the burden for my family members.

She wanted me to work out a way to attend the award ceremony rehearsal which was very important, but also, I didn't want to skip class as I know money doesn't come easy. Every class that I get are paid off by my aunt working tiredly in her workplace.
